Copper epoxy putty for sealing leaks in domestic and small industrial pipes and damage repair of copper and other non-ferrous metals

Description

Superfast Copper Epoxy Putty Stick is a fast-working, easy-to-use epoxy repair putty which makes quick and long-lasting repairs to copper, brass, bronze and other non-ferrous metals.

It fills in cracks and holes in copper and bonds metals and other materials together. Repairs can be made in under an hour in both interior and exterior settings. The Epoxy Putty sets to a copper colour to appear uniform with the metalwork it is repairing and is resistant to water, chemicals and temperature extremes.

The most common use for Superfast Copper Epoxy is for the repair of copper pipes. It seals leaks in both domestic plumbing and industrial settings. Superfast Copper Epoxy Putty has WRAS approval, which means it is safe to use with drinking water.

How to use Superfast Copper Epoxy Putty Repair Stick

Superfast Copper comes in a pre-formatted 114g stick which is 22mm diameter x 175mm long. To use, you simply cut off the required amount of putty from the stick and knead it by hand.

Whilst soft, the putty is pushed into holes and cracks in copper pipe and metalwork where it will cure, sealing holes and filling in areas of damage. For bonding, you apply the putty and use it to attach the pieces requiring repair together.

Superfast Copper has a work life of approximately 3 minutes and within 5-10 minutes, it will harden and form a cohesive bond. A full repair is completed in one hour, after which systems can be put back into service. Once cured, it can be tapped, drilled, sawed, filed, or painted.

Superfast Copper contains no solvents or VOC’s, it is non-flammable and releases no noxious fumes. It will not shrink or pull away and the unused portion of Copper Stick stays fresh for future use when saved in its original package.

Pipe repairs made with Superfast Copper Stick can be overwrapped with SylWrap Bandage for a fast, permanent, high-pressure repair. SylWrap Pipe Repair Bandage can be purchased along with Superfast Steel Epoxy Putty Sticky as part of the Standard Pipe Repair Kit which enables the user to permanently fix leaking pipes of all materials, including copper.

Please note that Superfast Copper is only effective for fixing a leaking copper pipe where water pressure can be turned off. For carrying out live leak pipe repairs, please see Wrap & Seal Waterproof Pipe Burst Tape.

For repairs to pipes and metalwork subjected to temperatures in excess of 200°C, please see Superfast Titanium High Temperature Epoxy Putty Stick which has been specifically designed for extreme heat applications.
