Godiva Wax Impression Cakes 250g Box
These hard-setting wax cakes are for taking a quick impression of an item for casting
DIRECTIONS
• Hold one of the cakes under hot water until it softens
• Press the item into the soft cake.
• Wait a few moments for the wax to cool
• Remove the item to create a perfect impression.
When cool the wax is hard and inflexible, so if there are any undercuts then the wax can we softened and removed from the casting. If you want a softer wax then consider the wax sheets below.
Casts can be made with either a Casting Resin or Sylmasta A+B Modelling Putty .
An easy hard casting can be made using Sylmasta A+B - simply mix sufficient putty and press into the mould. Allow to harden and then remove. If the putty cast is fixed and will not come out, soften the wax mould in hot water. To prevent the Sylmasta A+B from sticking, use a mould release agent.
Wax cakes are re-useable.
