This is a 2-component epoxy adhesive for heavy-duty applications. The bond strength can be increased by curing at a higher temperature. It will set with a very hard surface finish, with high resistance to impact, ageing and moisture.

Materials:
Metals, glass, porcelain, ceramic, wood, marble, stone, concrete, Duroplast®, glass fiber reinforced synthetics, rigid PVC, rubber, rigid foam plastics such as Styropor®. Not suitable for sticking large areas of glass.

Open time:
2 hours at room temperature).

Setting:
The setting time depends on the temperature; final strength can be increased by applying heat (not over 200°C - see table).

This is a fast setting very high strength VERY CLEAR epoxy adhesive. Supplied in a syringe pack for easy and accurate measuring which reduces wastage.

Araldite 2020 is a two component low viscosity, water white epoxy adhesive especially suitable for glass and ceramic bonding. Araldite 2020 is also suitable for clear castings and laminates. The refractive index is similar to that of glass.
Although 2020 was developed for glass bonding it will also bond a wide variety of ceramics, metals, rubbers and rigid plastics.
Araldite 2020 comes complete in kit form with mixing cups and spatulas.

Used with the HY956 Hardener, Araldite AY103 Resin is an epoxy resin which is virtually clear. It has been tried and tested by many restorers and modellers as an adhesive and casting resin. As a casting resin it can be poured into moulds for replacing of hands, small heads, handles and making figures. Fine Powder pigments can be added to tint the resin.
Used as an adhesive, it can be used for the bonding of fine china. The resin and hardener mixed by weight is: 100 parts resin to 16-18 parts hardener and by volume the mix is 100parts resin to 18-20 parts hardener. Therefore one tin of hardener is enough for both sizes of resin.
Araldite HY956 Hardener is purchased separately.

Hxtal was specifically developed for conservation use. It has exceptional non yellowing qualities, which makes it ideal for bonding of ceramic and glass. The low viscosity permits tight joints, reducing steps to a minimum and will wick deep into cracks. The cure time is 1-2 days at 75ºF-95ºF and 15-20 minutes if the mixed adhesive is heated prior to use.
Mixing ratio is 3 to 1.
