Sylmasta PHT High Temperature Metal Epoxy Paste is a two-part epoxy repair compound designed for repairs exposed to high temperatures up to 200°C. It is ideal for the maintenance and repair of pumps, valves, metals castings, low pressure pipes and tanks, and automotive bodywork. It can be used on metal, wood and most plastics and provides excellent protection against corrosion and chemical attack.
Sylmasta PHT is reinforced with corrosion-resistant metal platelets, giving a smoother finish when machined than regular metal fillers and does not rust like some metal-filled pastes. The light consistency makes it easier to mix than stiff and heavy traditional epoxy pastes and it is thixotropic, meaning it will not sag. In addition, PHT is virtually odourless, with no unpleasant smell compared to other products.
The resin container has enough room to dispense all of the hardener into the resin so that Sylmasta PHT can be applied with a spatula straight from the pack, if desired. A 180 minute gel time allows larger quantities to be mixed in one go, meaning:
• more time to complete a repair - no need to worry that the paste will cure before completion
• less waste - the paste cures on the repair, not in the pot
• longer pot-life at higher ambient temperatures, making PHT suitable for warm climates with less chance of premature curing.
